Welcome to the Business Opportunity Program (BOPs), the Globalaw business generation initiative.
Lawyers are expected to know their law and be experts in their field. This is taken for granted by our clients, although surprisingly that expertise is not always provided. What is less expected is a lawyer who can play an important role in bringing business opportunities to his/her client. The advantages of being able to do this for one's client are obvious and considerable. With that in mind we bring you BOPs – business opportunities you may introduce to your clients. BOPs were conceived to enhance your client relationships, to create work for your firm and to create deal flow around the Globalaw network. BOPs can take the form of any business opportunity you may wish to make available to another Globalaw member's clients.
Introduced at the Lisbon ERM in May 2009 for the first time, BOPs continues to grow. During the meetings in speed-dating style, two delegates present each other's opportunities to the other for five minutes before moving along to sit in front of the next delegate. All lawyers attending a meeting should with advance preparation be able to produce a large number of BOPs to share with Globalaw colleagues. We ask for a minimum of two. Please note that BOPs submissions are made available only to Globalaw members.
